My Personal Journey in Real Estate and Property Investment

Like many professionals in the residential real estate industry, I was heavily dependent on my active job, constantly feeling the pressure of being time-poor, battling uncertainty, and stressing about financial security.

This is how I found peace of mind—and how you can, too, through Australia's property investing.

It all began in a small town in India, where I watched my mother ride her bike 40 kilometres daily to give us a better life. Growing up, I witnessed the sacrifices my parents made to provide for our family. My mother, a school teacher, rose before dawn, instilling in me the values of dedication, sincerity, and the importance of education.

These early lessons shaped my life and work approach. It was empowerment that taught me perseverance, education, and a clear investment strategy are keys to building financial security through property.

After completing my Computer Engineering degree, I moved to Singapore to pursue a Diploma in Management and focused on self-development. My journey eventually brought me to Sydney, Australia in 2006, where my partner, Rasti Vaibhav, embarked on a full-time MBA in Finance. During this time, I became the main breadwinner, supporting our family from income as a Project Manager in the banking sector. This challenging period reinforced my determination to create a secure financial future for us, something I now help property buyers achieve within the real estate market.

I remember those long nights, staying up to balance work and family, contemplating whether we would ever reach our financial goals. But during those moments, I realised the importance of a solid strategy and perseverance in property investment.

How I Became a Trusted Buyers Agent in Australian Property Investment

The desire to secure our financial future led me to explore property investment—a decision that changed our lives forever. Despite 14 months of solid mentorship, education, and research, the anxiety of working out the strategy, picking the right investment property, and agreeing upon the price with the negotiator and vendor was overwhelming. Evaluating our long-term financial goals and risk appetite was daunting, but these were necessary steps to set a clear course of action.

In 2011, we secured our first investment property. I vividly remember the crisp morning air and the sound of the pen scratching across the contract—it was a moment of pure relief and excitement, knowing we had taken a huge step towards our financial security. Our portfolio has since expanded to 18 properties worth more than $10 million, providing the security we need to retire comfortably. This journey inspired me to become a buyer's agent and help others achieve similar success in the real estate market.

The joy and relief we felt after securing our first property are emotions I’ll never forget. They drive me to help others experience the same sense of accomplishment in the property buying process.
